Former Managing Director, Reformation

Alexis Cepeda Maule is the former Managing Director of UK and Europe for Sustainable Women’s Brand Reformation and a member of their Senior Leadership Team. Maule’s duties focus on daily operations, strategic international expansion and heading up her team in a new, UK-based Reformation office. She serves on the Advisory Board of ReboundWear and Nold, and is an Ambassador for the Retail Week Future Leaders by Be Inspired program. In 2002 she was voted “Most Sustainable Women's Clothing & Accessories Managing Director (London)” by the SME Managing Director of the Year Awards, one of 300 leaders selected regionally. She was also one of 3 selected regionally by Vogue Business to be an honorary speaker on Customer Experience and Sustainability.

Previously she was Ad Interim Luxury Division Lead for NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER’s US New York Office which drives €500m in sales globally and Director of Business Transformation overseeing Strategy and Business Operations. She also served as Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the CEO at YOOX NET-A-PORTER (YNAP) GROUP. She managed global strategy for Mobile, Performance Marketing, Brand Relations, Social Media and External Relations and ran YNAP’s Executive Committee. In 2018 she was selected by YNAP as one of 10 Senior Leaders to join the Financial Times 125 Senior Executive Forum in London, which accelerates mid-career level women into positions of senior leadership. She joined YNAP as a Business Associate and supported the CEO on all streams of the YOOX and NET-A-PORTER Merger Integration after graduating from Stanford Business School in July 2015. During business school Alexis was a Retail Leadership Development Intern at Amazon in Seattle and served as a Special Assistant to the CEO of B5M, an e-commerce start-up in Shanghai, China.

Before business school, Alexis was Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse in the CFO Office after two years as an investment banking analyst in the Global Industrials Group. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, she was accepted to work in the White House for the Social Secretary and First Lady Michelle Obama, was an associate in the Business Development Group of Bad Boy Entertainment and was an analyst at Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Institutional Sales and Marketing.

She received a B.A. from Harvard and attended the University of Chicago Laboratory High School, where she worked on President Barack Obama’s campaign for U.S. Senate. While in college Alexis was awarded scholarships from the National Merit Foundation, Morgan Stanley Richard B. Fisher scholars and Credit Suisse Douglas L. Paul scholars. Her writing was also published in Drapers “Inside Reformation’s ‘magic’ changing rooms” (2022), Porter Magazine for “Michelle Obama’s Becoming Book Review” (2018), “African-American National Biography” by Oxford University Press (2008) and her college application was published in “50 Successful Harvard Application Essays” by St. Martin’s Press (2005).
